Thinking Huts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in 2015 with the vision to ensure every child has the opportunity to grow up and achieve their dreams.
We leverage humanitarian-driven, innovative 3D printing technology to increase global access to education by reducing the overall construction time of schools and creating local jobs to empower thriving communities.
What We Are Solving
Over 250 million young people around the world do not have access to education due to overcrowding, long travel distances of up to 9 miles to the nearest school, or there being no school at all.
There are simply not enough schools and we seek to change this.
Traditional construction methods could take months or even years, but we are able to 3D print schools in a matter of weeks.

Our hybrid Hut design features 3D printed walls and locally-sourced construction materials for the roof, door, and windows. This allows us to spread innovation with our local construction teams while stimulating the economies of our partner communities.
Inspired by the beehive, honeycomb campuses of multiple connecting Huts symbolize the heart of our mission: bringing together a community that thrives if everyone works towards a shared vision. Each of our schools provides a wealth of employment opportunities – from the local construction teams who build them to the teachers who bring them to life. Our trusted partners on the ground oversee the day-to-day operations of the schools and ensure that teachers are supplied.
